Turtles cannot prove to be perfect pets for tiny tots. They aren’t easy for caring, handling. Besides, they harbor bacteria of Salmonella that can be easily passed to children not understanding requirement of proper hygiene.

Life span and size

Majority of people fail to realize the size that aquatic turtles can attain. ‘Red Eared Sliders’ are likely to grow at least 10 to 12 inches long, and hence would require relatively larger enclosures. The natural life-span of turtles is very long. However, they should be properly taken care of, if you wish to make them lead a longer life. It should be noted that regular UV exposure is mandatory for a proper growth of turtles.

Keeping a Goldfish

The Goldfish, zoologically known as Carassius auratus, has been amongst the earliest ones to get domesticated and still is amongst the most frequently kept water garden and aquarium fish.
